| It
is really interesting to note
that the windshield washer reservoir cover does not come with an access
hole in it for the filler hole and cap! This means that you
must
use tools to remove the cover to gain access to the
cap so you can
add fluid. You can just barely see in the upper left picture
that
there is no cap or hole on the cover (far side). I was pretty
pissed
off at RK Sport when I got the parts. Especially after they
basically
said that I should have noticed in their catalog that there was not
hole
in the cover (duh!). They were eventually willing to take
them back,
but that wasn't the point. Why the hell would anyone design
something
like that is beyond me. Plus, I had the (very expensive) cap
from
Design Specialties and I was going to be able to see it!
Besides,
I like they way they look - I just wanted a F'ing cap!
Anyways, I'm
no rocket surgeon, but I figured out a solution in about 5
minutes.
My pal Charles built it for me in a few hours. It is visible
in the
two bottom pictures. Basically we extended the hole about one
inch.
Simple. Click

for drawings. The cap does look COOL,
though.
Additionally,
the radiator fluid reservoir
cover must be removed in order to remove the
cap. This is
because there is about a 1 cm flange around the bottom of the cap, but
the hole in the cover is the size of the cap and not the
flange.
More engineering wizardry. Fortunately, this side is affixed
via
velcro so no tools are needed to gain access to the radiator
fluid.
Take a look.
