For the first set of runs, the car had the following modifications:

• Max Modified Mass Air FLow Sensor
• Timing Tricker
• B&B Tri-FLow Exhaust
• Donaldson LS6 Air Filter
• Nology WIres
• Beru Plugs
• 178 Degree Thermostat
• Throttle Body Coolant Bypass
• 306.9 RWHP,  313.2 Lb-Ft Torque  (assuming 15% drive train loss, that's 361 HP at the flywheel)


The second set of runs I added:
 

• Ported Throttle Body
• Custom Tuned PCM (Power Control Module)
• 331.8 RWHP,  336.4 Lb-Ft Torque  (390 HP)
There are two graphs for the second set of runs to enable comparison with the first set on the same scale.

This combination of components comprise the Mongoose 400 package from Pro Auto Tech.  So - doing the math, it don't look like I'm getting 400 HP.  Assuming a 15% drive train loss for the 6-speed transmission, we get Gross HP=RWHP/.85=390.35.  Close but no cigar.

Some other tweaking in January of 2003 (see link below) and the addition of a Breathless Power Duct and Bassani X-Pipe got me to 336.94 HP and 346.50 Torque (I actually had one dyno pull with 348.36 lb-ft).  Better.  336.94/.85=396.4.  With an air:fuel ratio right in the 12.75:1 range.  Not as much HP as some guys get, but I'm happy now.  The big issue was the 10 lb-ft increase in torque.
